The AAR awards tens of thousands of dollars each year to members in the form of research, regional development, and Annual Meeting travel grants. In addition to grant funding, the AAR annually awards thousands of dollars to recipients of several awards, including the Marty Award for the Public Understanding of Religion and the Excellence in Teaching Award. Grant winners and AAR award winners are honored each year at the Awards Ceremony held Sunday evening at the AAR Annual Meeting.
