What is the AAR's refund policy?

AAR membership is based on a calendar year, so it is most beneficial to join or renew no later than January 1 to enjoy member benefits the entire year.  Refunds must be requested for memberships within 45 days of the processing date.  For memberships purchased after August 1, the refund request must be submitted prior to September 15.  No refunds will be given after September 15.

Refund requests must be submitted in writing to:

AAR
825 Houston Mill Road, Suite 300
Atlanta, GA  30329
FAX:  404.727.7959
membership@aarweb.org

Please include your name, AAR ID and an explanation for the refund request.

The answer to this question falls in different arenas:
  1. Permission: You must understand that with few exceptions the AAR retains the copyright and absolute permission with regard to graphic files that appear on our website, or that we may provide in another fashion (such as by e-mail attachment), and we will not relinquish this control under any circumstances.
  2. Contact Person: Requests for the AAR logo and other graphics should be directed to info@aarweb.org.

We make every effort to explicitly state information where it may be ambiguous, and appreciate it being brought to our attention if we have failed to do so. That said:
  • Time Zone: The AAR Executive Offices are in the U.S. Eastern Time Zone (GMT-5). Daylight Saving Time (Summer Time) begins in the United States on the second Sunday in March and ends on the first Sunday in November. On the second Sunday in March, clocks are set ahead one hour at 2:00 a.m. local standard time, which becomes 3:00 a.m. local daylight time. On the first Sunday in November, clocks are set back one hour at 2:00 a.m. local daylight time, which becomes 1:00 a.m. local standard time. Our local time and office hours can be checked on the Contact Information pages.
  • Currency: Unless otherwise noted, or unless the payment relates to activities in another country, currencies are in U.S. dollars (USD).
  • Country Code: The AAR is in the North American Number Plan, so our country code for international telephone dialing is 1; our local area code is 404.
