Nominations and supporting materials must be received by 11:59 pm Eastern Time, on Monday, June 3, 2019.

Late or incomplete submissions will not be accepted.

This call for nominations is for open positions on the following AAR committees and juries, with service beginning on January 1, 2020:

Member Constituencies

Professional Development

Religion and the Public

Grants and Awards

To be eligible for consideration, nominations for all open positions must be made in writing, and must include the following supporting materials:

  2. A summary of the nominee's activity in the AAR or service to the field
  3. A statement describing the nominee's interest in the position
  4. A current copy of the nominee's CV

Please note: If you are nominating someone else and do not have the nominee's materials, please notify the nominee to request that that they submit their materials via the online submission form.

Nominations without supporting materials are incomplete and cannot be considered.

All nominations and supporting materials must be submitted electronically through the AAR’s online Nomination Submission System. You will need to login in with your AAR member ID to access the form.

Nominations must be received by 11:59 pm Eastern Time on Monday, June 3, 2019.

The AAR President, Executive Director, staff, and committee and jury chairs, will review all complete nominations submitted during the open call.

The AAR President, Laurie L. Patton, will make appointment selections during summer 2019.  Presidential appointments are made on the basis of committee needs, diversity of AAR volunteer leadership, and special initiatives taken by the President.  In general, new appointments are not made for members who are currently serving on an AAR committee or jury.

Members who have been selected for appointment will be notified by October 1.

If you have questions about particular assignments, please feel free to contact the AAR staff liaison or the committee/jury chairs.  AAR Committee and Jury descriptions are available to view here on the AAR website.
