ACLS Announces 2018 Fellows

The American Council of Learned Societies (ACLS) has announced 78 Fellows for 2018, among whom are two AAR members, Jennifer A. Glancy and Caroline T. Schroeder. Glancy, Professor of Religious Studies at Le Moyne College will be working on "Ancient Christian Slavery and Twenty-First Century Debates about What Makes Us Human". Schroeder, Professor of Religious Studies at the University of the Pacific, will be working on "Monks and Their Children: Family and Childhood in Late Antique Egyptian Monasticism".

Matthew Goldfeder, director of fellowship programs at ACLS, notes that “Fellows were selected for their potential to make an original and significant contribution to knowledge, resulting from research on cultures, texts, and artifacts from antiquity to the present, in contexts around the world.”

Congratulations to these scholars as they pursue research to further the field of humanities!
