Leadership Groups

Members volunteer their time to further the work of the AAR, and to serve their fellow members, by standing for election as officers and members of the Board of Directors; serving on committees and working groups, including task forces and juries; leading Program Units as chairs and steering committee members; and serving in one of the ten AAR Regions as regional coordinators and officers. Thank you to our member volunteers!

Board of Directors
Twelve members, eleven of whom are elected by the membership, and the AAR Executive Director, in a nonvoting role, serve on the Board of Directors. For information about the composition and duties of the Board, see here.

Committees and Working Groups
There are currently five standing committees of the Board and twenty working groups. For more information about types of committees and working groups, see here.
