Mellon/ACLS Dissertation Completion Fellowship 2021
Abdulbasit Kassim, doctoral candidate in religion at Rice University, has been awarded the prestigious Mellon/ACLS Dissertation Completion Fellowship for his dissertation, "Old Reformers, New Dissidents: Continuity and Change in the Intellectual History of Islamic Thought, Reform and Jihad in Hausaland and Borno, 1700–2015."
