This colloquium is focused on an area of research that has formed a central part of Fr. Daley’s scholarly work for decades. Beginning with his doctoral work at Oxford University, he began to study the development of Patristic Christology extensively, producing a critical edition of the works of Leontius of Byzantium, a sixth-century theologian. Over the course of his academic career, Fr. Daley has authored many works on Patristic theology, including God Visible: Patristic Christology Reconsidered (Oxford University Press, 2018).
Students currently enrolled in PhD programs in relevant disciplines are welcome to apply for this graduate colloquium. Successful applicants will receive a full tuition scholarship and room and board for the duration of the conference. A limited number of travel scholarships are also available; preference will be given to those accepted students who do not have access to institutional funding for travel.
