AAR Elections – 2009
Voting Open September 28 through October 28
All members should have received an email with a link to the AAR elections ballot. The email went out to all AAR members in good standing and represents the “key” to your electronic ballot.
The AAR Nominations Committee has placed four candidates on this year’s ballot: two candidates for Vice President (Professors Orlando Espín and Otto Maduro) and two candidates for Student Director (Elizabeth V. Lawson and Christiana Z. Peppard). We are grateful to all four of these candidates for their willingness to serve our Academy. Information about each candidate is available on the ballot and in the links below.
Candidate Biographies and Statements on the AAR (requires PDF):
Vice President
Student Director
Our bylaws also require that members vote to move our current Vice President (Professor Kwok Pui Lan) into the President-Elect position, and to move our current President-Elect (Professor Ann Taves) into the President position. In these two elections, the candidates run unopposed.
We are using a new electronic voting system this year. In order to vote in these elections, you must be given a link to the ballot, which will send you to our voting site. Be aware that once you click the link and cast your ballot the link will be deactivated for security purposes.
If you have not yet received a link to the ballot, please notify us via email at nominations@aarweb.org. Be sure to include your full name and the email address to which you would like the link to the ballot sent.
Thank you for your participation!
