Robert Puckett joined the AAR in 2004 as an intern for the Religionsource Project. Since 2006 he has worked on the Annual Meeting, becoming Director of Meetings in 2008. Robert manages both the programmatic and logistical aspects of the Annual Meeting, as well as helping to organize the AAR's committee meetings.
Robert earned his bachelor's degree in Religion and Classical Studies from Dartmouth College, followed by a masters in the History and Critical Theories of Religion from Vanderbilt University and a doctorate in Religion and Society from Boston University. His dissertation was entitled Ye Shall Be Free from Slavery: The Concept of Freedom in Contemporary Wicca. He hopes to one day have the time to revise it into publishable form.
Robert enjoys reading, gardening, the theater, and spending time at home with his wife and cats.
