There are a limited number of rooms available, so please book your room as soon as possible. Be sure to mention that you are attending the Midwest AAR Regional Meeting to ensure the above room rate. The rate is only guaranteed until February 23, 2010, after which reservations will be taken on a space available basis only at the going rate.

Fly into the Moline Quad-Cities Airport. Notify the Rock Island Hotel of your travel plans and a shuttle will be arranged to meet you at the airport and shuttle you to the hotel.

There will be free bus shuttle service from the hotel to the conference site.

Friday evening appetizers and drinks

7 to 9 pm, at the Blue Cat Brew Pub (dowtown Rock Island):

Each paid conference registrant will receive a drink ticket in her/his conference packet (pick-up when you register at the hotel).
Trays of appetizers will be available for noshing.
If you would like to order dinner and more drinks, the pub has a wonderful menu.
The Blue Cat is one block from the Holiday Inn hotel, the conference hotel site.
Come unwind, eat and drink after the Friday sessions, or come by when you arrive that evening.
The beer menu is excellent and local beers are served. See you there!

Student Housing: Because we have received an overwhelming response to our offer of free on-campus housing to students, we will are unable to take any more requests. Please contact the Holiday Inn downtown Rock Island, IL, where we have secured a special conference rate of $79 a night.

For those who have already been guaranteed on-campus housing with Augustana students as their hosts: you will be hearing from Patrick Fish (a student assistant at Augustana College) by mid March. He will provide you with the name of their Augustana College host and cell phone number so you can work out the details with your student host
