What is my Job Center ID? |
| |
| |
| | We assign all candidates and jobs a unique identifier that allows for confidential communication between candidates and employers. This ID, sent by e-mail to all registrants, establishes your ability to communicate confidentially with employers. If you do not remember your ID, inquire with Job Center staff with your picture ID. Use the "Job Center at a Glance" box on the cover of the Annual Meeting Special Edition of Job Postings to record your ID. | |

How do I use the Message Center? |
| |
| |
| | Retrieving Messages: Job Center staff will post a notice (a card with the Candidate ID number) when a message has been left for a candidate. The candidate should remove this notice and bring it to the Message Center with your photo ID. Job Center staff will then retrieve the message. Only you may pick up your messages.
Leaving Messages: Messages for employers are to be given to the message center, where they will be distributed to employer mailboxes. Employers are expected to check the mailbox for each registered job periodically throughout the day. Employers are expected to respond to applicant messages, and may opt to use the courtesy responses listed at the bottom of the message form. All materials in Employer mailboxes are confidential and only authorized persons may retrieve or review their contents. Only message forms are to be placed in the mailboxes. In the case that an employer requests that you leave additional material, you may place it in the drop box, and the Job Center staff will alert the employer and make it available for pick-up.

| | Most of the jobs registered with the Job Center will be advertised in Job Postingings online, within the 90 days before the Annual Meeting, and will be identified by a “Job Center” icon. The ads, along with employer interview plans, will also be printed in the special edition of Job Postings distributed at the Job Center. Jobs registered onsite will be posted in the Job Center. | |

| | Employers who register by Monday, October 11, 2010 will have an "Job Center" icon next to the Job Postings ad online. Additionally, the onsite edition of Job Postings contains the job advertisements, indicating job classifications and whether the employers’ interviews are open, prearranged, or both.
Employers who register onsite will post job advertisements on the Job Center bulletin board.

What are open interviews? |
| |
| |
| | Open interviews are indicated by the open door icon in the Annual MeetingSpecial Edition of Job Postings. This indicates that the employer will be setting interviews from the pool of candidates on site. Interviews are arranged on site when a request is sent, a response given, and a time selected and confirmed completely through the ID message system. | |

What are prearranged interviews? |
| |
| |
| | Prearranged interviews are indicated by the handshake icon. This indicates that the employer has scheduled interviews with candidates who have already applied. These employers are not expected to respond to general inquiries. An employer may prearrange interviews by contacting applicants before reaching the meeting. This generally means that a date, time and location are already specified, and may only need to be confirmed via the ID message system.
Any Annual Meetings registrant may use the Job Center interview hall if invited by an employer.

Where does a candidate go for an interview? |
| |
| |
| | Interviews take place in either the Job Center Interview Hall or in Private Interview Rooms.
For an interview in the Interview Hall, candidates wait in the Job Center Candidate Lounge. Employers meet candidates in the lounge to greet and escort them to the assigned space.
Private Job Center Interview Rooms are located elsewhere. If an employer plans to interview you in a Private Job Center Interview Room, he/she will have notified you before the meeting. You will need to arrive at the Job Center 15 minutes before the interview so that you can check in at the Private Interview Room check-in desk and be sent to the proper location. Job Center policies apply to interviews in these rooms as well as in the Interview Hall. If an applicant is uncomfortable meeting in a Private Job Center Interview room, he or she should alert the employer immediately and request that the interview be scheduled in the Interview Hall.
